Valley Hope launches addiction treatment expansion project in Denver area
Valley Hope Addiction Treatment and Recovery has served the Denver community since 1989.
February 2, 2023 (DENVER) – Nonprofit organization Valley Hope Addiction Treatment and Recovery today announced that it has launched a massive expansion and renovation of its Parker residential center.
The $17 million project will expand the availability of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services available in the Denver area. Included in the expansion are a significant increase in the amount of medically-monitored detoxification rooms and residential patient rooms, allowing for more people struggling with addiction to access immediate help.
“According to the CDC, Colorado has the highest rate of deaths by overdose in the United States, making the need for access to high quality treatment critical to saving lives,” Steve Knuth, Valley Hope President and CEO, said. “Valley Hope is determined to ensure more critical addiction treatment services are available for not just the Denver community but throughout Colorado.”
Since 1989, Valley Hope’s Colorado residential treatment center located in the Denver suburb of Parker has provided a continuum of addiction care including medically-monitored detox and withdrawal management, residential addiction treatment, family counseling and lifelong recovery support. Each patient has a customized treatment plan and dedicated care team comprised of a board-certified addictionologist, medical, and clinical experts.
Valley Hope also provides outpatient addiction treatment services in Centennial and specialized treatment for women with children or who are pregnant at its New Directions for Families facility in Littleton.
Organizations supporting the project include Daniels Fund, The Recovery Foundation, The James J. and Joan A. Gardner Family Foundation, and the Douglas County Community Foundation.
