COLUMBIA, MO — [July 24, 2026] — Valley Hope Addiction Treatment and Recovery, a nationally recognized nonprofit leader in addiction treatment, is proud to announce the opening of a new outpatient treatment center in Columbia, Missouri. The new facility expands access to evidence-based, compassionate care for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder throughout mid-Missouri.
Located just off I-70, the Columbia outpatient center is now accepting patients and will provide flexible, comprehensive outpatient addiction treatment services, including Intensive Outpatient (IOP) therapy, individual and group counseling, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), co-occurring disorder care, telehealth services, and continuing care support. These services are designed to provide effective treatment for those seeking recovery while maintaining their daily responsibilities including work, school, and family life.
“Mid-Missouri communities deserve access to the same high-quality, compassionate addiction treatment that Valley Hope has been providing for 60 years,” said Dr. Patrick Hall, Valley Hope President and CEO. “The opening of our Columbia outpatient center means that more individuals and families across the region, from Columbia to Jefferson City and beyond can now access expert care close to home. We are honored to serve this community.”
The Columbia location joins Valley Hope’s established Missouri network, which includes the residential treatment campus in Boonville, giving patients in the region access to a true continuum of care within a single trusted organization. Whether a patient needs the structure of residential treatment, the flexibility of outpatient care, or a seamless transition between the two, Valley Hope of Missouri can now meet them at every stage of their recovery journey.
The need for expanded treatment access in mid-Missouri is significant. According to the Missouri Department of Mental Health’s 2025 Annual Data Report, Boone County recorded 28 drug-induced deaths in 2024, and an estimated one million Missouri adults, more than one in five, are living with a substance use disorder. The majority are not receiving treatment.
Valley Hope’s outpatient model addresses this gap directly. By offering both morning and evening session tracks four days per week, the Columbia center removes scheduling as a barrier to care, allowing patients to get the structured clinical support they need without stepping away from the obligations that matter most to them.
The Columbia center also provides telehealth services, extending Valley Hope’s reach to patients throughout mid-Missouri who may face transportation or geographic barriers to in-person care.
The new Columbia outpatient center is now accepting patients. Most major insurance plans are accepted, and Veterans may qualify for treatment at no out-of-pocket cost through VA Community Care. For more information, visit valleyhope.org or call (573) 615-4560.
