National Addiction Treatment Provider Valley Hope Names New CEO

Valley Hope, a nationally accredited addiction treatment center with 16 locations in six states, has announced Steven Knuth as the new President and CEO.

Knuth, who has served as interim CEO for Valley Hope since July 2020, founded AgWest Commodities in 1999, a company specializing in agricultural price risk management and customized marketing plans. As CEO, he expanded AgWest to 10 locations across the Midwest. He has been a member of the Valley Hope Foundation Board since 2008 and joined the Valley Hope Association Board in 2016.  He has served as Vice Chair and Chairman of the board.

“Steve brings more than 30 years of executive leadership and personal passion for treatment and recovery to Valley Hope,” Tom Lolley, Chairman of the Valley Hope Board of Directors, said. “He is uniquely qualified to successfully lead Valley Hope into the future and fulfill the organizational mission of helping individuals and families achieve long-term recovery, health, and wholeness.”

In addition to building the premier grain marketing service in the Midwest, Knuth cultivated an effective company culture at AgWest, based on integrity, professionalism and the highest level of customer service. A native of Nebraska, he has been directly involved in various aspects of agriculture throughout his career, including more than 25 years of market analysis. Sober since 1998, Knuth is an alumnus of Valley Hope’s treatment center in Norton, Kan.

“As a proud Valley Hope alumnus, through my service on the board and as interim CEO, I have experienced firsthand the powerful impact of Valley Hope’s exceptional patient care,” said Knuth. “Together, we will continue to enhance and expand our work to provide effective and compassionate treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.”
