Coronavirus/COVID-19

COVID-19 UPDATE
Valley Hope continues to take precautions amid the COVID-19 pandemic, working with public health officials, our staff, our communities and our partners to ensure our facilities are safe and remain open to new patients.
Based on updated guidance, the following processes have been updated to align with recent successes in the fight against COVID-19:
New Patients/Admissions
New patients will continue to be monitored during their medical detoxification in the facility’s recovery area for the first 24 hours of their stay.
In addition to monitoring for withdrawal symptoms, patients will be monitored for signs of illness and introduced to Valley Hope’s policies of mask wearing and distancing that comply with the CDC’s recommendations for health care facilities.
Current Patients
Patients are required to stay on campus except for essential activities. Examples of these are certain health care appointments, legal obligations, and sober living interviews.
Visitors
Valley Hope facilities remain closed to social visitors.
Family Care
The on grounds family care program is currently suspended. Individual family sessions may be available virtually or on grounds. Please contact your local facility for more details.
Alumni and Friends
Off-campus community-based alumni events have resumed at some facilities. See our events calendar for more details.
Facility Staff and Operations
- Intensive, ongoing disinfection and sanitation measures continue at each facility.
- Ongoing staff training and communications on safety and prevention strategies.
- Ongoing monitoring of policies and procedures led by the Valley Hope COVID-19 Response Team, including our Medical Director and informed by recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and state and local public health authorities.
As our communities begin to reopen, our team of treatment experts remain ready to provide help and healing for substance use disorder in a safe, compassionate environment.
