Family Care

Family Services

Addiction is a family disease and family members can benefit from participating in their loved one’s treatment. Through sessions with a licensed/certified therapist and interactive workshops, family members can learn about the complex, chronic brain disease of addiction and the family role in treatment and recovery.

By joining their loved one in the treatment experience, family members can explore healthy strategies to support their loved one during and after treatment and help create a supportive environment for their loved one when they return home, helping them embrace recovery and reduce the risk of relapse. Additionally, family members who participate in family programming can begin to identify ways to start the process of healing the wounds that addiction has caused in the family system.

Valley Hope is a place of true healing and understanding. My loved one felt safe there and the staff was so kind and accommodating. If you or a loved one need help, reach out to them; it’ll be the best decision you ever made. –Stacy, Family Alumnus

Participation in Valley Hope’s Family Programming can help family members not only learn how to be support their loved one throughout the recovery journey, but may also learn of supportive resources, community-based services, or referrals for the family member’s own healing and support. Valley Hope’s licensed/certified therapists are equipped to help the family identify which resources may best meet their needs and recommend services the family member may find helpful within the community.
