Louis S.’s Story

Which Valley Hope location did you attend?

Valley Hope of Atchison

What do you remember about creating your Valley Hope Cup during treatment? What did your design represent at that point in your recovery?

I felt a joy around those committed to change their lives for the better of living and not existing. Everyone there was a beautiful soul sometimes trapped in a human world with different struggles to be that beautiful person. I felt great kinship with many of those I associated with and my cup wasn't just for me, it was for those persons also.

Is there anything else about your Valley Hope Cup or your recovery journey that you'd like to share?

Definitely use your positive resources. Stick to your boundaries and not on a fence. This includes especially family. Family don't stop at blood relations. Choose, that's a big one, choose correctly your associated groups and stay with convictions to walk away even if it hurts feeling to others to better yourself.
