What do you remember about creating your Valley Hope Cup during treatment? What did your design represent at that point in your recovery?

I painted mountains and the night sky because I was always trying to push through the mountains. I had to learn to take one step at a time and not take to mean at once because that's when you will fall down when you're already at rock bottom. If you're at rock bottom the only way left is to go up and that's what I'm doing now, taking one step at a time I'm almost 90 days clean and I've never felt better. I'm glad I made those choices in my life because now I work 2 jobs, I'm getting married, and starting my future.

What did it mean to return for Renewal Day, see your cup again, and realize how much your life had changed in one year?

I'm going back this month!

Today, when you look at your Valley Hope Cup, what does it symbolize for you?

All the hard work I had to do to get here and where I'm at today.

Is there anything else about your Valley Hope Cup or your recovery journey that you'd like to share?

I really love my best life now that I'm clean and I see my therapist every other week.
