What do you remember about creating your Valley Hope Cup during treatment? What did your design represent at that point in your recovery?

It reminded me of the things on my life I love and cherish most. What makes me happy, what was there for me at my lowest point, what really mattered.

What did it mean to return for Renewal Day, see your cup again, and realize how much your life had changed in one year?

I haven’t gone back to pick up my cup yet, but it would be an honor to do so and see all the beautiful changes at PVH.

Today, when you look at your Valley Hope Cup, what does it symbolize for you?

It symbolizes resilience. It symbolizes change. It symbolizes hard work. It symbolizes love; for myself, my future and my family.

Is there anything else about your Valley Hope Cup or your recovery journey that you'd like to share?

Before going into PVH, I was at the lowest point of my entire life. From the outside looking in, my life was pretty perfect, but deep in my soul I had pain and wounds that I couldn’t face. After my time at this amazing place, my eyes were opened to an entire new outlook and reason to heal. PVH is part of my story and played a huge role in the beautiful, sober life I live today.
