NORTON, Kan.—Valley Hope Corporate Medical Advisor Kasey Nichols has graduated from the Kansas Hospital Association’s Leadership Institute on Sept. 7. Nichols is one of 32 students to graduate and was part of KHA’s 16th leadership class.
“I’m excited that Kasey received this recognition,” said Valley Hope President and CEO Pat George. “He is a valued member of our leadership team, and his expertise enhances the care that we can give our patients at Valley Hope.”
Before coming to Valley Hope, Nichols completed numerous rotations in drug and alcohol treatment centers throughout Arizona. He earned his medical degree from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine from Tempe, Ariz., and a bachelor’s degree in human biology from Cleveland University-Kansas City, Mo., College of Health Sciences.
The 2017 Leadership Institute class was diverse. Graduates represented a wide variety of hospitals throughout Kansas. The backgrounds of the candidates were equally diverse. Many were new to health care management, and others had been in management roles for several years. Individuals were nominated to participate in the program because their CEOs recognized their potential to be future leaders and wanted to help cultivate that development. Graduates completed requirements in six different courses.
