Residential Addiction Treatment Services
Residential addiction treatment is a structured level of care where the patient participates in different treatment modalities. A team of certified addiction treatment counselors, chaplains, physicians, nurses and psychologists work together to meet the physical, mental, social and spiritual needs of the individual. Patients receive more than 40 hours per week of active treatment therapy including individual counseling and pastoral sessions, marital, couple, family and group therapy. Patients also attend addiction treatment education and 12 Step orientation lectures and are active in local 12 Step meetings. Room and board services are provided in our residential treatment centers. Our kitchen and dietary staff provides quality, home-style meals seven days per week.
Treatment begins with a thorough patient intake assessment. This includes a medical history/physical exam, nursing assessment, psycho-social history and psychological screening assessment. We use these tests to help formulate an individual addiction treatment plan. This plan is updated as the patient moves through the various levels of care. Staff at the residential level includes certified chemical dependency/addiction counselors and chaplains, as well as a 24 hour nursing staff and consulting physicians/psychologists. Each individual addiction treatment facility also has agreements with local hospitals for emergency care.
Day or Partial Care
Valley Hope also provides day or partial care for persons suffering from the disease of addiction. This 6-8 hour/day, 7 day/week level of care allows the patient to maintain close contact with his or her support in the community and home setting. Day treatment also can be utilized as a step-down from the medically monitored detoxification or residential levels of care. Family participation is strongly encouraged throughout the addiction treatment process.
Medically Monitored Detoxification
Medically monitored detoxification services are available at our residential addiction treatment (drug rehab) centers under the supervision of our consulting physicians and professional nursing staff. Each patient is given a complete physical and a lab profile is obtained. A team of nurses provides 24-hour medical observation and assessment services. Medications to minimize withdrawal symptoms are used as part of our treatment regimen, when necessary. If there are complications, the patient is referred to a local acute care hospital.
